Richmond, VA, August 23, 2016 — Whitlock, a video collaboration company, announces it has earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list for 2016. With a 3-year growth rate of 54%, Whitlock is one of only 118 businesses (or just 2%) of that 5,000 with revenues over $250M. The Inc. 5000 list is mostly comprised of smaller businesses, where a sizeable increase in revenues is more achievable.

“We are proud of our progress and continued growth,” shares John Whitlock, Chairman. “We have made this list 7 times since inception, but at our current size, it’s a special achievement.”

“This is great recognition for Whitlock during our 60-year anniversary,” adds Doug Hall, CEO. “I believe we have sustained this level of health because of our commitment to building a world-class technical services team, and staying focused on our culture and the customer experience.”

Whitlock has grown not just in revenues, but also in employee size, with more than 800 employees located across the U.S. They have aligned teams on technical as well as vertical experience.

The company reports strong expertise in High Tech, Financial, Energy and Legal, where businesses are pursuing innovative uses of video for remote and in-person collaboration.

“The legal industry, in particular, is seeking out knowledge on the rapidly changing interactive technology landscape,” says John Bailey, Whitlock’s Vice President of Technology, who recently spoke about the Internet of Things (IoT) at a conference for the Virginia Bar Association. “Staying ahead of the curve on the new ways to connect and communicate, and the impact of so much big data from connected devices, is impacting how law firms operate and how they advise and protect clients.”

Whitlock team members will be participating in the International Legal Technology Association event, ILTACon, in late August in National Harbor, MD, where they will expand on the risks and opportunities ahead.
