Challenge:
Pensacola Christian College (PCC) provides higher education courses and degrees at its Florida-based campus, as well as through distance learning provided to approximately 60 countries outside of the U.S. PCC offers a wide variety of education services in some of the finest college facilities in America, in addition to its own theological seminary as well as a variety of K-12 programs. This innovative college sought an AV partner to help them follow-through on their mission to reach out to as many people as possible, regardless of location, with their teachings.
Solution:
Whitlock designed and integrated complex audiovisual systems for the multi-functional Crowne Center at PCC, which seats 6,200 guests and students. The most significant goal for the facility was to design a space that would equally accommodate a broad range of events, including worship services, lectures, meetings, concerts, theatrical production, graduation and formal ceremonies and other large-group forums. Whitlock’s solutions enabled PCC to meet its large-scale communication and learning goals for this high-use facility, including the ability to add in multi-media presentations and create live television broadcasts and satellite simulcasts via its own production studio.
