The Poynter Institute is a school dedicated to teaching and inspiring journalists and media leaders. The Whitlock Group has worked with the Poynter Institute for years to provide the school with state-of-the-art media components.
Most recently, The Whitlock Group completed a customized video wall installation in the school's lobby featuring a Christie 2x2 cube array, Christie ENT1000 processor, Zandar MX Series processor, JBL speakers and a wall-mounted Crestron Isys touchpanel.
Other projects completed by The Whitlock Group include:
Auditorium: Complete overhaul of Audio/Video/Control Systems. Installed (1) Christie projector, JBL Marquis Series Speakers, Crestron Control, Extron Switchers and Routers andShure microphones. This auditorium is used for large venue presentations given by high profile speakers including some of the best known names in TV journalism.
Classrooms: Installed Projection/Audio/Control/VTC/Audio-Conferencing systems in (11) classrooms throughout the school. Equipment included Sony Projectors, JBL Control Series speakers, Crestron Control, Tandberg VTC, ASPI audio-conferencing and Extron switchers and routers. These classrooms are used for both local and distance learning presentations and training by leaders in print and television journalism. As well, The Whitlock Group worked closely with Poynter staff to ensure that they could continue to run their seminars during installation of these systems.
