Master Control

Client:

WRAZ-TV Fox 50

Project Name:

Master Control

Durham, North Carolina's WRAZ-TV Fox 50 relocated in August 1998 to a new facility at Diamondview, a complex situated on the Triple AAA baseball field of the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Along with a major move and transition to a FOX affiliate, WRAZ-TV made the move to an all digital video station. WRAZ-TV 50 is a sister station to WRAL-TV, North Carolina's first High Definition Television (HDTV) station. Both stations are owned and operated by Capitol Broadcasting Company. The Whitlock Group's Digital Transition Team worked closely with WRAZ's engineering team to provide the consultation, needs analysis, design, construction monitoring/administration and installation services required to make this effort a success. The customer utilized equipment from a variety of manufacturers, including ASC Video, VideoTek, Panasonic Broadcast and Leitch, Inc.
