News Whitlock Wins Commercial Integrator Award for Top Corporate Installation in 2014

Whitlock teamed up with Verizon Wireless and Cavanaugh Tocci to deliver another award winning space in downtown San Francisco.

Whitlock has a long-standing relationship with Verizon Wireless that spans many years and many innovative collaborative workspaces across the U.S. Their most recent endeavor involved a highly immersive space in San Francisco. This Verizon Innovation Center is a physical manifestation of Verizon’s commitment to innovation and collaboration. By creating a space dedicated to meaningful, creative relationships with partners and customers, Verizon serves as a catalyst for defining the next generation of technology solutions that take advantage of the power, speed and reach of Verizon’s 4G LTE wireless network.

The goals for the Innovation Center were simple in support of creating long-term customer solutions for the company. They include using innovative technologies and collaborative environments 1) to position Verizon as a leading technology company and partner, 2) to demonstrate their Innovative Culture, 3) to prove that the company is a Trusted Advisor and 4) to explain how Verizon helps to Enrich Lives.

Whitlock worked closely with Verizon and Cavnaugh Tocci (CTA) to develop the ideal technology landscape to support these goals. The facility showcases the latest in interactive video walls, videoconferencing, touch panels, projection and a revolutionary, two-story digital totem which allows Verizon to create a visual wow factor and also create unique customized messages for visitors. This digital totem serves as a beacon and connector for messaging between the floors and is uniquely connected to an interior stairwell, which creates an open and continuous workflow environment.

“We are excited to be recognized for this Commercial Integrator Award for our work with Verizon,” states John Steinhauer, Whitlock’s Executive Vice President. “Most gratifying for us is the strong connection with our commitment to being a customer centric organization through tight alignment with our customers’ visions and goals. In this case, the results were spectacular. We are proud of the partnerships we’ve developed with Verizon and CTA being recognized by CI.”

Since opening, the Center has been responsible for a significant percent of more than 600 events and more than 9,000 visitors. Visitors to the Innovation Center come from around the world to discuss technology innovation and in-turn rapidly develop, test and prototype 4G LTE-enabled products.
